Back, Here, There, Everywhere

Looking back at the 2009 year I can safely say there will be no comment on it until the 15th of this month. December was a void, amassed by holiday cheer and disfigured by sugar highs. Here I am unpacking from yet another New Year's trip with no entry in over three weeks?! Well I am about to only pack up again new camera in hand for a new state- Utah.

Hello, SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL and Mormons? Will there be men in suits on bikes wearing name tags? This is a common sight and always a dead give away that there is a Mormon tabernacle in the vicinity in Oregon, mi patria. Not knowing how to spot a Mormon in their home state could lead to some funny new observations and rather self in-dignifying conversations. What I do know is that there will be fashion to spot on this trip to Utah. For Sundance and I will be packing the most fur, wool and cashmere thats collected in my rubble.

Top Films on my agenda:
African Shorts, focusing on West African emerging film makers
Abel, directed by Diego Luna
Smash His Camera, Leon Gast docu on Ron Galella the original and founding paparzzi photographer
Cyrus, just because I went to the kick off party at one of the bro's and co-director Jay Duplass' in Highland Park and chatted it up with Ms. Tomei and her boyfriend for more than 40 minutes becoming one of those party pals where you mull about the party together eating drinking and being merry thinking he was in the movie!
Blue Valentine, boss-lady's show directed by Derek Cianfrance and supposedly powerhouse performances by the producers and lead couple.
Frozen, ok so this that detaching horror film "Open Water" just on a chair lift and tons of winter wear product placements strictly to only be see at the winter festival.

Under it all I must congratulate Film Finances who also bonded more than 16 films in three continents that are in the Festival! I am proud to be the bond girl and stoked for panel talks and it ALL. Hey, if your still unsure what it is that I do most week days try to focus on the role or function of the film completion bond here and then here. Two words of fiction- "Bond Stooge".
