It's those videos or images of you on the LA TIMES site

Admit tingly this whole shenanigans (this blog here) did run off course, heading into the realm of expository
writing. The most simple form of pen and paper, well now it's Twenty Ten the future and expository wiring is still the most simple form of hand and keyboard? No, thats not right nor is the auto-correct spelling of admittedly at the start, however here in lies the problem in the future: being plaster with self-indulgent words and actions that get put on the internet. As the prize love of convict writer Gregory David Roberts said, "When we act, even with the best of intentions, we interfere with the world, we always risk a new disaster that might be of our own making, but that wouldn't occur without our action..." Yet as disasters go I've ended up looking like a goof on valium being interview on film by the LA Times at Sundance. Too bad my name isn't posted there in a googable form. Alas, another qualm of the future.

For the record it was the third take because I kept swearing and in one swift loop of the Sundance shuttle bus en route to catch another party before the fourth screening of the day the LA Times guy kept nodding and smiling at me probably just because I lasted over 30 seconds. I kept saying "great" and thinking before I said my next word, which is always disastrous when you want to make a point, then your most intellectual line gets cut off. However, it was meant for Jon Winter to make his point for all who didn't have a ticket and to be affirmed that the moon lit day was his.

As I said this was the third time we were asked to do it, my comments were kept brief and appeasing- I think Kristen Stuart is Kristen on screen and off, an actress that took a embedding role, which is a move that can forsake any actor good or bad. Just ask Jason Alexander or hell Jaime Bell's agent who interfere with him taking the role in Tom Ford's latest directorial debut! Yet, Kristen does have a striking physical resemblance to Joan Jett so of course she was in the bag from the get go and hey this is my rant here.

In the spirit of returning to the main discourse the real story: all 1,270 seats in the Eccles Theater clapped for Jon after he expressed his deepest gratitude and asked Floria her first question. He related to me later that he "walked away from his childhood" after having a moment to address her art work that's she been so lucky to put out and to think according to Robert's love"...some of the worst things were caused by people who tried to change things." I know now the next time I get to brush with one of my admirees to ask them as an artist if they are trying to change something what is it.

Yet all in all The Runaways screening was classic to Sundance's roundtable feel where 3 generations of women artist were collaborating, creating, sharing and celebrating with the world their work, lives and stories. Way rad! Thats really what bit me and lent me the enthusiastic lack luster to be defined as "theatrical"...it was a fun movie and I think you'll enjoy the ride too thanks to Apparition it'll be at a theater near you.
